Grieving Lost Dreams 🌹

Have you ever had one of those weeks… or maybe even months… where you feel like you’re grieving, but you’re not fully sure what you’re grieving about? I realized my grief was about lost dreams. You know… we all carry these pictures in our heads of how we think life is going to look. The things we thought we would have by now. The people we thought would still be beside us. The moments we were sure would happen one day. But then time passes… and some of those dreams never get fulfilled the way we imagined they would. Some of those dreams have truly passed on… and honestly, that hurts. The strange thing is, you think you’ve let them go. You think you’ve made peace with them. But then out of nowhere, they pop back up unexpectedly… and you realize the ache is still there. I think sometimes we grieve the life we thought we would have by a certain age. I Tried Something New… and Got Completely Hooked 😄

Come, come sit with me… grab yourself a drink and pull up a chair.

Hun… I have to tell you — I am all up in a show right now. 😄

And let me say this right away… I am not a TV person.
I love reading, listening to romance podcasts, and music.

If I do watch TV?
It’s usually sports…

I know… sports, Lisa? Come on. 😂
But I really am a sports girl.

Okay, okay… back to this show that has my full attention.

Let me tell you — it has everything my little heart loves.
Romance, romantic comedy, suspense… just everything.

It’s called Perfect Crown, and it’s a Korean drama with subtitles.

Now normally?
I am not a subtitle girl.

But I was so invested in this show that it actually made it better for me.
Like you’re not just watching… you’re in it.

I first saw it on my Facebook feed and decided to give it a try.

Girllll… it was GOOD. 😂
I was sold immediately.

You know when you say, “just one episode”…
and next thing you know you’re like,
👉 “Okay… just one more.”
👉 “Wait… I need to see what happens.”

Yeah… that was me. 😄

I don’t want to give too much away, because I think everyone should experience it for themselves…

But let me just say this —
it made me laugh…
it made me cry…
and it kept me completely hooked.

You’re not just rooting for the main characters…
you start caring about the secondary ones too.
And that’s when you know a show is good.

The suspense is just the right amount — not too much, not too little.
Just enough to keep you thinking about it even when you’re not watching.

I don’t even know if they meant to put lessons in there…
but they’re there.

And here’s the other thing…

Sometimes you just have to try something new.

This was new for me.
Subtitles? Korean drama? Not my usual at all.

But it was soooo worth it.

LOL… I’m really trying to step into that more —
trying new things even when I’m not sure.

Because sometimes the things we hesitate on?
👉 end up being the things we enjoy the most.
