Your Girl Has Been Keeping Something From You... π
Come, come sit with me. Pull up a chair and grab yourself a drink.
Let's talk about houses.
You know, when we think about building a house, we often think about the foundation, the walls, the roof, and all the little things that make it a home.
But a house isn't just about the walls that surround us.
It's about what happens inside those walls.
It's about the stories we share, the laughter, the conversations, the memories we make, and the people who come through our doors.
And over the past year, without even realizing it at first, I've been building a house of my own.
I call it Love and Life with Lisa.
I didn't start out with a blueprint. I didn't know how many rooms I would build or even what the finished house would look like.
I just knew I wanted to create a place where people could come, pull up a chair, and feel comfortable enough to stay awhile.
And little by little, I've been adding rooms.
The first room I built was the Reflection Room.
That's this blog.
It's where I've shared my stories, my thoughts, my questions, my laughter, and sometimes the things I've struggled with.
And through 104 blog posts, you've come into that room and sat with me.
Some of you have been here since the beginning. Others have found your way here along the way.
But no matter when you arrived, there's always been a chair waiting for you.
Then I built the Listening Room.
That's my podcast.
For the first time, you didn't just get to read my words. You could hear me say them.
You could take me with you in the car, while you were cooking dinner, having your morning coffee, or wherever you happened to be.
It was another way for us to spend a little time together.
But as I continued building this house, I realized something.
Something was still missing.
I could talk to you, but I couldn't hear you.
I could share my stories, but I wanted to hear yours, too.
And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that what I wanted to build was bigger than a house.
I wanted to build a community.
A community where people from different walks of life, different countries, and different experiences could come together.
Where we could share our stories, learn from one another, laugh together, and sometimes discover that even though we may live thousands of miles apart, we're not so different after all.
But how do you build a community if you're the only one doing the talking?
How do we get to know one another if I never get to hear what you have to say?
And that's when I realized...
I needed to build another room.
A room where we could have those conversations.
Where you could share your thoughts, tell me your stories, ask me questions, and maybe even get to know some of the other people who have been sitting in this house with us.
A place where we could begin turning those individual connections into a community.
Well, my friends...
I've built another room.
The Conversation Room. πΉ
YouTube.
And this room is different.
Because I don't just want you to listen to me.
I want you to pull up a chair and talk to me.
Tell me what you think. Tell me your story. Answer the questions I ask. Ask me questions. Tell me what you'd like us to talk about next.
Maybe something I say will remind you of an experience you've had.
Maybe you'll see things differently than I do.
Maybe you'll have a question that leads us into a conversation neither one of us expected.
That's what I want this room to be.
A place where we can talk, laugh, share our experiences, and learn a little something from one another.
And here's the beautiful thing about this house...
You don't have to visit every room.
Maybe you love reading. The Reflection Room will always have a chair waiting for you.
Maybe you'd rather put your headphones on and listen. Come find me in the Listening Room.
Or maybe you've been reading and listening all this time thinking, "Lisa, I have something to say about that."
Well...
I've finally built you a room. πΉ
And just so you know, the Conversation Room isn't replacing the Reflection Room or the Listening Room.
I'll still be here writing my blogs, and I'll still be recording my podcast.
I'm simply opening another door.
Because when I started building this house, I didn't realize just how much it could grow.
And I know that building a community doesn't happen overnight.
It starts with one person pulling up a chair.
Then another.
And another.
Until one day, you look around and realize that what started as a little house has grown into something you never could have imagined.
A community built on comfort, connection, and conversation.
And I'd love for you to be part of it.
Come On In. The Conversation Room Is Open! πΉ
I'd love for you to join me over on YouTube.
Come introduce yourself. Tell me what part of the world you're joining me from, share your thoughts, and let's get to know one another.
And if you enjoy our conversations, I'd love for you to subscribe so you'll know when we have another one.
πΉ Come visit me in the Conversation Room on YouTube!
I can't wait to see who pulls up a chair.
Comfort. Connection. Conversation.
Pull up a chair.
There's a place here for you. πΉ
