Nobody Remembers Perfect 🌹

Come come sit with me, grab your drink and pull up a chair... So I have a question for you to think about for a moment. Yesterday I was sitting on the patio and I got to thinking... lol I know that is dangerous for me because my mind can take me in so many directions. πŸ˜‚ Okay, here is the question: Why do we always look for perfect instead of just enjoying the memories that got us there? Think about that one memory that makes you smile so hard you almost laugh until you cry. Maybe it is a family gathering, a vacation, a holiday, or just a random Tuesday that somehow became unforgettable. I have a lot of those memories because A. I love to laugh and B. I have family and friends who make me laugh all the time. The funny thing is, when I think back on some of my favorite memories, none of them were perfect. So there was this one summer when I was a teenager. Mom and Dad were working and we were home. LOL my brother had his friend over and they were bugging me. They went outside to ...

The Little Things in My Kitchen That Make Cooking Easier 🍽️

Come, come sit with me…
Grab your drink and pull up a chair.

You know what I’ve realized lately?

It’s not the big fancy kitchen stuff that makes the difference…
it’s the little things.

The quiet helpers…
the ones you don’t really think about…
but when you have them?

They just make everything easier.

And honestly… a lot of cooking starts before the stove even turns on.

It’s in how you store your food… your flour, your pasta, your everyday things.

When everything is easy to find and sealed properly, it just makes the whole process smoother.

I use airtight pantry storage containers for that, and I’ve linked them here if you want to take a look:

I didn’t always use a meat thermometer…
I used to guess a lot when cooking meat — and honestly? Sometimes I got it wrong.

But this little thing?

It took the guesswork out completely.

Now I just check it… and I know it’s done.
No stress.

The one I use is a simple meat thermometer, and I’ve linked it here if you’re curious:

And this next one… I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I started using it.

When I cook or prep food, I don’t want it going to waste…
and I don’t want freezer burn either.

So I started sealing my food properly… and it just keeps everything fresh longer.

It’s one of those things that quietly saves you money without you even thinking about it.

I use a FoodSaver vacuum sealer for this, and I’ve linked it here if you want to take a look:

And if I’m already thinking about saving food…
the next thing that makes a difference is how I store it.

I used to use whatever containers I had, but switching to glass just felt better —
easier to clean, no staining, and I can go from fridge to microwave without thinking twice.

I use glass meal prep containers for that, and I’ve linked them here if you want to take a look:

These aren’t big, fancy kitchen upgrades…
just little things that make everyday cooking feel easier.

And honestly… on the days when I don’t feel like doing much?

I’ll take easier every time.

Whisper: “Sometimes it’s not the big things that change your day… it’s the little ones that quietly make life easier.”
