Grieving Lost Dreams 🌹

Come come sit with me, grab yourself a drink and pull up a chair. Have you ever had one of those weeks… or maybe even months… where you feel like you’re grieving, but you’re not fully sure what you’re grieving about? I realized my grief was about lost dreams. You know… we all carry these pictures in our heads of how we think life is going to look. The things we thought we would have by now. The people we thought would still be beside us. The moments we were sure would happen one day. But then time passes… and some of those dreams never get fulfilled the way we imagined they would. Some of those dreams have truly passed on… and honestly, that hurts. The strange thing is, you think you’ve let them go. You think you’ve made peace with them. But then out of nowhere, they pop back up unexpectedly… and you realize the ache is still there. I think sometimes we grieve the life we thought we would have by a certain age. Maybe we pictured marriage, children, more security, a di...

Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs — The Easy Dinner That Delivered πŸ―πŸ—πŸŒΉ

Come, come sit with me. Grab your drink and pull up a chair.

Mmmm… you know how much I love food and cooking.

A friend was coming over, and I wanted to make dinner — something quick and easy, but still with that wow factor.

My friend loves anything chicken, so I asked what she wanted, and we landed on honey garlic chicken thighs.

Now… you all know this meal can be a little intense.

But I wanted easy.

And easy is exactly what I did.

So the meal plan was honey garlic chicken thighs, potatoes, and broccoli.

I did the chicken and the honey garlic sauce in the same pan, and the potatoes and broccoli went into the air fryer.

Here’s why I love my dual air fryer…

I can start the potatoes first, then add the broccoli a little later — all while I’m cooking the chicken.

And somehow?

Everything lands on the table at the same time.

Because I hate when my food isn’t hot.

If you don’t have a dual air fryer yet, it’s honestly one of my favorite kitchen tools — it makes dinners like this so much easier.

I did everything in one pan, which made it even easier (and less cleanup, which I love).

My friend was watching me cook and asking questions as I went along…

First off, she was like, wow at how easy it was to make the sauce.

The kitchen started smelling so good, and before we knew it, dinner was ready.

We put everything on the table… and away we went.

And for me?

I can always tell if the food was really good when a friend goes back for seconds… or even thirds. 😏

🌿 What I used (keeping it simple)

For the chicken, I kept it really simple but added a few spices to give it that extra flavor.

Salt & pepper
Paprika
Garlic & herb seasoning

Then of course:

Garlic
Honey
Soy sauce

Nothing complicated — just a few things that come together really well.

So yes…

Quick. Easy. And clearly a hit.

Because when someone goes back for thirds…

You already know you did something right. πŸ˜‚

And if you want the full recipe…

You might just have to ask me for it. 😏

πŸŒ™ Whisper:
“Good food doesn’t have to be complicated — it just has to bring people back for more.”
